While there’s no doubt you’ve heard about Clean Beauty by now, has any of it actually made its way into your bathroom cabinets yet? If the answer is no you are certainly not alone, however if it is because the whole concept seems too overwhelming and you don’t know where to start, then we are here to help.
 
Firstly, what is clean beauty and should you be concerned? Put simply, clean beauty refers to beauty products made without ingredients that may harm your health.
 
Clean beauty covers a broad spectrum, however the general consensus is to avoid certain ingredients. Some of the most common ingredients of concern are: parabens, fragrances, aluminium compounds, ethoxylated agents, formaldehyde, refined petroleum, hydroquinone, talc, triclosan, silica and oxybenzone.
 
You may also want to keep an eye out for products that are environmentally friendly, vegan, cruelty free, ethically sourced, naturally derived or certified organic.
